Recording Set-up

Registers, deregisters and diagnoses a USB HDD device for recording. It is necessary to register a USB HDD device first to enable recording.

HDD Registration
Registers a USB HDD device. A maximum of 8 USB HDD devices can be registered.
To deregister a USB HDD device, perform the [HDD Deregistration] setting.

Note

  • Do not turn off the TV or remove a USB HDD device while recording.
  • The data stored in a USB HDD device will be erased, when it is formatted during the registration process or newly registered.
  • After registration, a USB HDD device cannot be used with others TV or others equipment (PC, etc.).
HDD Deregistration
Deregisters a USB HDD device. You can deregister a USB HDD device even if it is not connected to the TV.

Note

  • After deregistration, recorded data cannot be played.
HDD Performance check
Diagnoses whether a registered USB HDD device can be recorded.

Note

  • Do not turn off the TV or remove a USB HDD device while performing the diagnostic check.
