Entfernt das PAUSE+ENTER Problem in der OA4 / OA3 Netzwerkversion und setzt eine neue Timerroutine für den music() Befehl im Compiler. Es werden die Dateien OA4.SPI , OA3.SPI , CMP.SPI und APP.SPI modifiziert. Bitte vergessen Sie nicht vor dem Patch ein Backup dieser Dateien zu erstellen!

PATCH Y2K

Modifiziert CMP.SPI, OA4.SPI und OA3.SPI. Der ursprüngliche DISPI Patcher (in Borland Pascal programmiert) hat einen Fehler auf schnellen CPU ( Laufzeitfehler 200). Unser Patcher ist ein neuer, kleinerer und viel schnellerer Patcher für den Y2K-Bug in Open Access 3/4. Alle Credits gehen selbstverständlich in diesem Fall an DISPI. Bitte vergessen Sie nicht vorher auf eine Sicherungskopie Ihrer Dateien !

Patches CMP.SPI, OA4.SPI and OA3.SPI. The original DISPI patcher (programmed in Borland Pascal) has a bug on fast CPU (Runtime error 200..). So this is a new, smaller and much faster patcher for the Y2K bug on OA4. All credits are going to DISPI in this case. Don't forget to backup the file before !

Modifiziert OA4.EXE ! Bei Verwendung der Netzwerkversion (in unserem Fall 4.03) konnten wir ein Problem mit der Indexdatei (IF) ab einer Grösse von 32 MB feststellen. Die IF wird dabei immer beschädigt und kann nicht durch OA selbst repariert werden. Sollten es durch die Modifikation andere Probleme geben, ersuchen wir Sie zu testen und uns ein Feedback zu geben. Backup der Originaldateien vorher nicht vergessen !

Patches OA4.EXE. When using the network edition (in our case 4.03), we encountered a problem with index file (IF) growing over 32MB. The IF is getting corrupt and cannot be repaired by oa itself. This little patch solves the problem but may you encounter other problems now - please test and give feedback.

Patches APP.SPI and RT.LIB. Introduced in OA4 we encountered a problem creating a dynamic view with variables ending with " and some characters or spaces. This little patch solves the problem.

Auf einigen PC kommt es vor, dass die Uhrzeit im OA DOS Fenster von der Systemzeit nach einiger Zeit abweicht. Dieses TSR Programm bleibt im Speicher und synchronosiert die Host Zeit mit der NTVDM Zeit.

Dieser kleine VDD Treiber behebt ein Problem mit der Windows NTVDM ab Windows Vista, welcher die rechts Alt-Taste fälschlicherweise mit STRG+Alt belegt statt nur mit Alt und damit unter anderem Probleme mit dem deutschen Tastaturtreiber verursacht. This small VDD driver fixes a problem with the NTVDM from Windows Vista upwards, which occupied the right ALT key incorrectly with Ctrl + Alt instead of ALT only. This causes further problems with the german keyboard driver. For a detailed technical description please read the forum thread.

DOSPR (Dosprinter)

DOS-Druckeroutput abfangen und z.B. an Windows Drucker odeR spoolfile weiterleiten. Damit kann von DOS aus auch auf GDI-Druckern drucken. Im Prinzip eine simple Gratis-Implementierung vom Kostenpflichtigen dosprn ohne Umweg über eine Zwischendatei

Captures DOS printing output and forwards it i.e. to a Windows printer. Interprets PCL according to sequence file. In fct, this is a lightweight free implementation of dosprn without the need to write a temporary file.

BEEPx (SPKRFIX 32 bit)

Dieser kleine VDD Treiber behebt ein Problem mit der Windows 7 NTVDM, da der PC Lautsprecherausgang nicht korrekt eingebunden ist (Quellcode ist im x86 Paket enthalten). Dies entstand aufgrund der Tatsache, dass die Funktionalität des beep.sys Systemtreiber in den Benutzermodus des Sound Agent verschoben wurde. Weitere Informationen finden Sie im Blog von Larry Osterman. Dieser Treiber versucht das Problem durch Einhaken der NTVDM - Funktion (verantwortlich für den Beep bzw LazyBeep) durch eine eigene Implementierung mit verschiedenen Möglichkeiten zu lösen. Es gibt auch eine x64 Version, die Sie weiter unten finden.
Dieser Treiber kann auch unter Windows XP nützlich sein, wenn man z.B. ein Gerät hat, wo kein PC Speaker verbaut ist, da er auch einen DirectSound Piepser enthält, der auch unter XP funktioniert.

This little VDD driver fixes a problem with the Windows 7 NTVDM where the PC Speaker output is not wrapped correctly (sourcecode is included in x86 package). This may be due to the fact that the functionality of the BEEP.SYS System driver was moved to the Usermode Sound Agent. For further information, see the blog of Larry Osterman. This driver tries to fix the problem by hooking the NTVDM-Function resposible for the Beep (LazyBeep) and replace it with our own implementation that has various options to fix the Problem. You may also be interested in the x64 version, see below.
This driver may also be useful on Windows XP when you have a device that doesn't have a PC speaker attached and still want PC speaker sound.

PATCH CONHOST
(fullscreen switching bug)

Modifiziert conhost.exe ! Beim Versuch in einer Konsole vom Textmodus in den Vollbildmodus und wieder zurück zu wechseln (ALT + ENTER) gibt es einen Bug unter Windows 7 und Vista (nachdem sichergestellt ist, dass Sie diese Funktion mit einem XPDM Display-Treiber haben) der bewirkt, dass Windows für einige Zeit hängen bleibt. Dieser Patch behebt das Problem. Der Patch erzeugt eine .bak Datei aber bitte vergessen Sie dennoch nicht vorher auf ein Backup.

Patches the CONHOST.EXE (patcher is generating a .bak but don't forget to backup) ! When trying to switch a console to Text mode fullscreen with ALT+ENTER and back, on Windows 7 and Vista (after ensuring that this feature works by using a XPDM display driver), there is a bug that causes Windows to hang for some time. This patch fixes the issue.

NTVDM Helper um den Vollbild Modus mit WDDM Display Treibern zu aktivieren. Mit diesem Paket können Sie zwischen Fenster und Vollbildmodus in einer Konsole in Windows 7 wechseln, wie es zB. in Windows XP möglich ist, obwohl Sie einen WDDM Anzeigentreiber verwenden.

NTVDM helper to enable fullscreen operation with WDDM display driver. A package that enables you to switch between windowed and fullscreen mode in a console in Windows 7 like it used to be in Windows XP even though you are using a WDDM display driver.

PATCH NTVDM
(Intel VGA BIOS patch)

NTVDM hat Probleme mit dem VGA BIOS von manchen Intel video Karten. Es gibt ein Problem mit den Video BIOS (z.B. 4010U, 4340 i3 and 4200U i5, 4600...), das bewirkt, dass NTVDM im Vollbild erst nach 10 sekunden nach dem Start bereit steht und der Text wird sehr langsam ausgegeben (1 Zeichen pro Sekunde). Dieser Patch behebt das Problem.

NTVDM fullscreen and startup issue with VGA BIOS of Intel video cards. A patch that fixes a glitch in the BIOS of some Intel VGA onboard graphics adapters (i.e. 4010U, 4340 i3 and 4200U i5, 4600...) that cause NTVDM startup to be delayed for 5-10 seconds and also causes slow text output and other INT10h operations (1char / second) in fullscreen mode.

Dieser Treiber behebt ein Program bei manchen NVIDIA VGA BIOSsen beim Wechsel des Textmodus mittels INT 10h Funktion 0, wenn man in der NTVDM auf Fullscreen operiert. Verwenden Sie diesen Patch nur, wenn der Videoprt patch von Martin Sulak NICHT funktioniert, welcher das Grundproblem des Moduswechsels beheben sollte. Dieser Patch repariert nur Textmodus Moduswechsel, ist also wirklich nur eine Notlösung!

A patch that fixes a problem with some Video BIOSes on textmode switching (INT 10h Function 0) when running in the Windows NTVDM on fullscreen (this also affects Windows XP NTVDM!). Before using this patch, better first try the Videoprt patch from Martin Sulak. Only use this workaround if this drivers doesn't work for you. The patch only makes textmodes work whereas above mentioned patch should also enable other video modes, as it fixes the root cause of the problem.

PATCH NTVDM
(Enable 32bit IN/OUT)

Die NTVDM unterstützt vom Design her nur bit zu 16bit IN/OUT Kommandos. Dies kann z.B. bei moderneren VGA BIOS Implementierungen problematisch sein, welche davon ausgehen, dass 32bit I/O funktioniert. Diese VDD patcht die NTVDM intern, um 32bit IO bereit zu stellen (benötigt ggf. einmalig Zugriff auf den Symbol Server, um die internen Punkte in der NTVDM zu finden)

The NTVDM is not designed to support 32bit IN/OUT commands. However, i.e. modern VGA BIOSses may rely on this CPU feature and therefore fail when using fullscreen INT 10 functions. This VDD patches NTVDM internally to enable 32bit IN/OUT commands. It may require access to symbol server to find the correct offsets within the NTVDM to patch the correct internal function.

VGA Video Treiber in der XPDM Architektur müssten eigentlich das System über die Ports informieren, die sie benötigen, damit das VGA BIOS korrekt mit der Videokarte reden kann. Viele Treiberherstellen haben aber leider darauf verzichtet und somit funktioniert das Fullscreen Video BIOS in der NTVDM dann nicht richtig und es kann keine Grafik korrekt ausgegeben werden. Dieser Treiber von Martin Sulak repariert das Problem, indem er die jeweiligen Ports durchlässt. Diese Version unterstützt auch Windows 7, es muss die jeweilis passende Version für das jeweilige Betriebssystem heruntergeladen werden.

VGA Video drivers on XPDM architecture must inform NT which ports DOS needs. Most if not all drivers are marked as not "VGA comptabile", so vedors can safe coding time byt not supporting fullscreen DOS. In this case "VGA Safe" driver is used instead of hardware specific and this universal driver doesn't know all adapters ports.
This driver fixes the flaw in the video driver. This version also support Windows 7, you need to download the appropriate release for your Windows version.
